Life Weaving
A modality for kids that creates a support system through creative expression
Alex specializes in working with deeply feeling kids through creative expression to create strength, support and belonging.
Most kids are highly sensitive, but haven’t been taught how to use their sensitivity as a strength. Through creative expression, kids learn to wield their unique gifts.
Each child has come here with a unique light to share with the world. When we, as individuals, feel confident in our unique gifts we shine. This creates a harmony felt through every cell in our body. It’s the vibration of our own unique medicine that is generated when we join our spirit and our body through our creativity.
When kids feel confident in their unique gifts it helps to preserve and protect their original essence. It’s from this state that kids can thrive individually and as a part of all facets of the larger web of life.
Method
Every session is custom tailored to each child. Before our first session a consultation with the parent is scheduled to speak about your child, their gifts and any challenges they are experiencing to inform our sessions.
An art studio is set up to include stretched and raw canvas, acrylic paint, oil pastels, watercolors, sound bowls, drums, crystals and more. Alex will guide kids to begin expressing their creativity through painting, movement/dance and ceremony. Imagine dancing, painting and surrounding yourself with your own creative magic. It’s like our Rainbow Weavers camp but tailored to your own kids unique creativity! Children sometimes create songs, poems, stories or offerings to nature during our time together.
Over the course of our four sessions, Alex will guide kids to weave all the different threads of their creative spirit together. This generates strength, support, a sense of belonging and joy! Kids will develop skills on how to use their ability to feel deeply to be channeled through creativity, magic and play.
Life Weaving allows us to accept all of who we are, the dark and the light and weave it into our creations.
Some kids use it as a healing modality and some kids use it as a creative arts apprenticeship!
4-Session Offering
4 sessions with the child. Each session is 1 hour.
In person on the North Shore of Kauai at the Earth School (Princeville location).
Over the course of the four sessions, your child will participate in conversations, creative expression, ceremony, play and individual projects customized to their needs. With the guidance of Alex, your kid will learn to wield their unique gifts and create a support system through creativity.
