A modality for kids that creates a support system through creative expression
Alex specializes in working with deeply feeling kids through creative expression to create strength, support and belonging.
Each child has come here with a unique light to share with the world. When we, as individuals, feel confident in our unique gifts we shine. This creates a harmony felt through every cell in our body. It’s the vibration of our own unique medicine that is generated when we join our spirit and our body through our creativity.
When kids feel confident in their unique gifts it helps to preserve and protect their original essence. It’s from this state that kids can thrive individually and as a part of all facets of the larger web of life—including community, family, friendships.
Method
Every session is custom tailored to each child’s unique creative gifts. Before our first session a consultation with the parent is scheduled to speak about your child and their gifts and any challenges they are experiencing to inform our sessions.
An art studio is set up to include stretched and raw canvas, acrylic paint, oil pastels, watercolor and more. Alex will guide kids to begin expressing their creativity through painting, movement/dance and ceremony. Imagine dancing, painting and surrounding yourself with your own creative magic. It’s like our Rainbow Weavers camp but tailored to your own kid! Children sometimes create songs, poems, stories or offerings to nature during our time together.
Over the course of our four sessions, kids will develop skills on how to use their ability to feel deeply to be channeled through creativity, magic and play. This allows them to create strength, support, a sense of belonging and joy!
Life Weaving allows us to accept all of who we are, the dark and the light and weave it into our art.
Most kids are highly sensitive, but haven’t been taught on how to use their sensitivities as their superpowers. This is what Life Weaving is for !
4-Session Offering
4 sessions with the child. Each session is 1 hour. In person on the North Shore of Kauai.
Your child will meet with Alex every-other week for 2 months. Over the course of the four sessions, your child will participate in conversations, creative expression in the studio, ceremonies to strengthen their imagination and individual “homework” assignments customized to their needs. With the guidance of Alex, your kid will learn to wield their unique gifts and create a support system through creativity.
